(Moloka‘i) Newcombia canaliculata: Just like the other Molokaʻi snail candidate, this species was thought to be extinct until recently rediscovered. Newcombia spp. are often found resting on branches of trees where they mimic a part of that branch. This species is only known from one population on the windward sea cliffs of Molokaʻi. The conservation status of this species is Critically Imperiled.
